“WHEN I STOPPED MAKING SENSE, SENSES BECAME CLEARER!” MEANING-MAKING IN ETHNOGRAPHIC RESEARCH

Meaning-making is the central focus of all ethnographic writing. However, a methodical approach to mean-ing-making remains under-represented in literature and it undermined academic discourse. Taking two anecdotes presenting preliminary senses field materials my doctoral research, I explore some issues meaning-making processes research on inclusive school governance. The paper argues that rather than adopting ‘phased approach’ consisting ‘data gathering’ ‘meaning-making’, can better interweave these for revealing more comprehensive insider view reality. Moreover, reflecting experience learning, emphasize involving participants process, which not only desirable but possibly reasonable option neophyte ethnog-raphers.
